Low Carbon Economy
Commitments under the Paris Agreement and the UK’s Net Zero targets - to reduce net emissions of greenhouse gases to zero by 2050 – will require a radical shift towards resource efficiency and low carbon technologies in the industry, residential, energy and transport sectors. This creates challenges, but also many opportunities which are being recognised in initiatives to support a green economy and build back better after the Covid-19 crisis. URSUS helps clients to radically rethink the new technologies, skills and behaviours needed for a just transition to a low carbon world. URSUS helps clients to map low carbon opportunities, to develop business plans and identify financing opportunities, and to deliver their programmes. We also help design and evaluate programmes which support policy approaches to deep decarbonisation.
